The team
The people who will be in the room with you.
Classically trained actors, a former infantry officer, and an award-winning broadcaster. Between them they have coached government advisors, councillors, TV personalities, clinicians, soldiers and astronauts.
How it started
Two paths that kept crossing.
Tom and Connor trained together at drama school, where they gained extensive knowledge and experience in speech delivery, then went their separate ways. Or so they thought.
After growing their own client bases as solo coaches they decided to join forces and build something dedicated to helping people take control of their own message. Several months and a great many flat whites later, Speech Hub was born. Today the team offers coaching in public speaking, accent softening, elocution, media training and interview preparation, to an extraordinarily diverse client base spread across the world.
Founders
Connor & Tom.

Connor
Coach / Founder
Communications coach, classically trained actor and former infantry officer.
After education, Connor signed up to the Army and commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before enjoying an active military career. He subsequently left full-time service and trained as an actor.
Bringing these pathways together alongside real life experience, he helps people improve their ability to express themselves effectively and stop standing in their own way. An enthusiast for physical pursuits, he enjoys endurance events, time outdoors, and a multitude of sports such as running, cycling, skiing and playing cricket badly.

Tom
Coach / Founder
Communications coach and classically trained actor.
Having trained at one of London’s premier drama schools, Tom found himself at a loose end: plenty of expectation, with zero work and opportunities. That left him questioning his own values and purpose, and began his journey into communications and confidence training.
Since then he has focused on empowering people to be their authentic self, compacting and refining the skills he learned through his training. Tom has coached some very impressive people towards the next stages of their careers: from top Government advisors to councillors, TV personalities, and even astronauts.
Coaches
The wider team.

Ash
Media trainer
Broadcaster and journalist.
After time as a rugby coach, ski instructor and cowboy, Ash became an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and author. He has reported and presented from over 50 countries for outlets including the BBC, Channel 5, Sky News, the Telegraph, the Times and Condé Nast Traveller. He is the resident travel expert on BBC Morning Live, the author of Why We Travel and the host of two podcasts.
As a consultant, Ash has media-trained over 500 academics, doctors, scientists and soldiers for video presenting and interviews. He lectures on the MA in Journalism at City University London and has over a decade of experience in strategic communications.

Naomi
Communication coach
Public speaking and presentation skills trainer.
Naomi spent 15 years teaching and leading in London primary schools before making a career change into communication coaching and public speaking training.
Drawing on her background in education, leadership and performance, she helps people feel calm, confident and in control when speaking in public. Naomi combines practical communication strategies with performance techniques to help clients deliver their message with clarity and impact, and feel good about themselves when facing an audience.

Georgia
Communications coach
Communications coach and classically trained actor.
Georgia was the quietest child in the room, to the point where anxiety made it difficult to engage with anyone at all. Theatre classes became her weekly outlet to be heard and to work out who she was. She went on to three years of rigorous acting training at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, and has since built a career as a stage and screen actor.
It was at Conti that she learnt the craft of voice: an instrument that can be refined, and one that can command authority, engage, reassure or sell. She now works with people who describe themselves as introverts, or who find social situations and presenting difficult, on the basis that confident communication is a learnable skill.

Alicia
Communications coach
Communications coach and classically trained actor.
Having trained as an actor at one of London’s most prestigious drama schools, Alicia realised that the communication and confidence techniques taught there could be enormously useful to people outside the performing industry.
She now coaches people in all walks of life to champion their own unique voices, which in turn helps them express themselves in the most effective and efficient way.

Want to be doing this?
We are always interested in hearing from classically trained actors, public speaking coaches, broadcasters and communication specialists who want to coach seriously rather than as a side project.
